About The Position

Dauch is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Claremont, NC. This is a fully onsite position. The Warehouse Supervisor will work to meet customer requirements through effective manpower planning, coaching the team toward continuous improvement, ensuring inventory accuracy, and on time delivery. They will be responsible for safety, budgets, quality, cleanliness, team spirit, lean implementations and professional development of each associate that reports to them.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing facility.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provides leadership to associates, directly coaching associates and maintaining a physical presence on the shift.
  • Manages the performance of team associates with the appropriate recognition, feedback, and or discipline if necessary.
  • Maintains associate attendance information including vacation schedules, verification of time clock punches and training hours documentation.
  • Ensures that safety and housekeeping standards are met.
  • Manages disciplinary problems, disputes and/or conflicts effectively.
  • Encourages positive associate engagement by supporting the PVD/EI process.
  • Ensures that safety, quality, delivery, accuracy, OTD, and cost targets are met.
  • Develops and manages associate work schedule to include vacation requests, LOAs, holidays, and overtime. Plans for associate training, development, and cross-training.
  • Expedites production, prototype, and PPAP components through processes as necessary to support production floor and external customers.
  • Coordinates with cycle counters, finance, and planners to resolve shipping/receiving discrepancies, and inventory inaccuracies.
  • Measures and reports the effectiveness of warehousing activities.
  • Assists in the improvement of departmental layout.
  • Leads in warehouse count during physical inventory.
  • Ensures conformance to QS9000 and ISO/TS 16949 and other Audit standards with procedures and work instructions.
  • Assists in corrective actions related to internal customer complaints.
  • Facilitates team meetings related to quality, cleanliness, safety, productivity and continuous improvement.
  • Oversees the EDI/ASN information transmission and receipts
  • Manages company owned dunnage and maintain proper control of customer owned dunnage
  • Communicates and enforces Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
