About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor, reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, will manage and oversee the warehouse activities of their assigned area(s)/account(s), ensure efficient processes, and maximize warehouse productivity. The Supervisor will plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities. This position works Monday through Friday, from 8am-4:45pm. The compensation range for this position starts at $65K/year, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment).
  • Experience must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and policies and procedures.
  • Experience must demonstrate the ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines.
  • Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Must be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Experience must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college experience preferred.
  • Powered industrial equipment experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of 3PL, Supply Chain, and Transportation, WMS system preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for adhering to and meeting daily department goals in safety, sanitation, productivity, and quality across all assigned area(s)/account(s).
  • Provides supervision and direction to the team for day-to-day workflow, including associate and temporary staff scheduling, time, and attendance management.
  • Makes staffing recommendations, interviews applicants, assesses training needs, counsels employees, recommends corrective or disciplinary action when appropriate, and documents employee performance.
  • Ensures associates are properly trained on all standard operating procedures; conducts and documents method observations per company standards.
  • Partners with other supervisors to balance labor, provide cross-coverage as business needs dictate, and ensure efficient shift operations utilizing LEAPS tools.
  • Ensures all required documentation and system transactions (electronic and/or manual) for assigned area(s)/account(s) are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintains physical inventory accuracy at defined company standards; proactively identifies and leads continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assesses warehouse operations continuously to ensure the facility remains neat, secure, safe, and well-organized; articulates customer concerns and operational issues to facility management in a timely manner.
  • Actively leads start-up meetings, effectively communicates daily goals, building and company-wide information, GGOB updates, and sets the energy level and tone of the day.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
