About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor plays a key role in executing assigned Warehouse tasks. This includes overseeing and supervising all warehouse team in the completion of unloading, staging, picking and loading of all products for shipment to customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of GED or High School Diploma is preferred
  • Direct warehouse experience of 4+ years is required
  • Must be able to operate all PIT— e.g. forklifts, order picker, pallet jacks (manual/electric)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee training of warehouse personnel in warehouse equipment, protocol and systems (i.e. forklifts, inventory cycle counts, FEFO).
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and document control practices and filing of product movement within the warehouse (inventory).
  • Tour warehouse floor to identify products for location, rotation, quality, code and quantity.
  • Audit the work of warehouse personnel to ensure accuracy, quality and work completed in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure completion of performance evaluations and merit increase forms and provide recommendations for pay adjustments, promotions, and /or disciplinary action while working with Warehouse Leads & Seniors.
  • Communicate with the Warehouse Manager on any potential or existing problems that could adversely affect the load schedule or customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct periodic warehouse walks to inspect product, racking and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) for safety, damage and/or shrink.
  • Monitor and coordinate daily orders and distribute accordingly to warehouse personnel.
  • Assist incoming carriers and ensure all loading/unloading information is accurate.
  • Communicates effectively between shifts and other departments – verbally and in writing.
  • Supervise warehouse team by example to gain trust and integrity.
  • Handle employee inquiries and solve problems while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Foster an “open door” policy for all employees to maintain an open line of communication between direct reports and management staff.
  • Notify others of mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity and equipment capabilities and begins to identify areas where operators can assist in resolving concerns.
  • Responsible for complying with GMP/GWP’s, SOP’s, corporate and/or warehouse policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Provides assistance and support to all areas in the warehouse facility as assigned by supervisor and trains and builds competence of staff on key areas in warehouse such as forklifts, inventory control, FEFO, etc.
  • Covers breaks and lunches and other staffing needs as assigned by their supervisor/manager.
