About The Position

Certco, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead our 3rd Shift Receiving Team at our Verona Road Distribution Center in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves leading warehouse operations, ensuring products are received safely, accurately, and efficiently, and implementing new warehouse technology. Requirements

  • Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • High school graduate or equivalent and excellent math skills.
  • 3 Years of related experience.
  • Experience working with powered industrial equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Receiving, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or grocery warehouse experience preferred.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.
  • D.O.T. and Logistics experience preferred.
  • Experience in identifying operational issues, recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team.
  • Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse associates.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and respect.
  • Coordinate daily receiving activities and inbound freight.
  • Monitor productivity and labor efficiency.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through proper receiving procedures.
  • Work closely with Inventory Control, Transportation, Purchasing, and Operations.
  • Train and mentor employees while building future leaders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Support Warehouse Management System (WMS) and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain food safety, OSHA, and company compliance standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities for warehouse employees, monitoring workflow and daily productivity.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory movement by monitoring WMS system.
  • Monitor team members’ productivity and work quality, and manage performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety programs and foster a strong culture of safety in the warehouse.
  • Direct and control all functions within the facility by managing the workforce and ensuring a highly productive environment.
  • Mentor team members through on-the-job training and coaching.
  • Provide training and evaluation to equipment operators.
  • Ensure the safety of employees while working.
  • Involvement in employee relations to ensure proper disciplinary steps are taken as needed.
  • Respond to customers’ inquiries about their orders and ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Communicate details on production directly to the Director of Warehousing and other shift leaders to ensure flow of production.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Warehousing.
  • Is regular in attendance and complies with the Company Attendance Policy.
