About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the storage and distribution operations. This role involves supervising employees engaged in receiving, storing, issuing, shipping, and distributing a variety of bin and bulk materials, equipment, and commodities using automated and manual material moving equipment, devices, and systems. The supervisor plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on projected workload on weekly or monthly bases.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in distribution and warehousing using WMS or equivalent automated WMS within the past five (5) years.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must have a valid California Driver License.
• Must have warehousing experience.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and able to fulfill obligations.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.
• Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences in accordance with general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager.
• Redirects workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.
• Conducts planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work.
• Ensures work is done properly and efficiently in accordance with the terms and condition of the contract.
• Uses WMS and other Government Data Systems to perform the requirements in the PWS.
• Performs other relevant duties as assigned.
