About The Position

Home Chef is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for their night shift. This role is responsible for overseeing the warehouse team during their shift, ensuring tasks are executed properly and safely. The supervisor will anticipate and troubleshoot issues, manage the performance of warehouse leads and associates with little guidance, and collaborate with other stakeholders as needed. This position follows a 2nd shift schedule, working from 5:30 PM to 4:30 AM, with designated days off on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Computer proficiency to execute transactions and enter counts/corrections
• Ability to use handheld data logging equipment
• Must have supervised at least 10-15 employees
• Must have 2+ years of warehouse experience in a leadership role
• General high school degree, or equivalent (e.g. GED)

Nice To Haves

• 5S and lean manufacturing principles highly desired
• Employees must be familiar with and become certified to use all P.I.T equipment utilized at the facility within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise core warehouse functions, ensuring compliance with standard procedures and maintaining organization and safety.
• Monitor receiving activities for accuracy, product integrity, and dock maintenance, ensuring WMS compliance from receipt through putaway.
• Issue product to production, ensuring full utilization of WMS, verifying production needs, and communicating changes to the team.
• Oversee shipping processes, including checking documentation, coordinating with logistics providers, and ensuring accurate loading of outbound pallets.
• Lead the warehouse team on their shift, fostering teamwork, communicating expectations, managing attendance, and problem-solving.
• Ensure all warehouse associates are properly trained in safety procedures, SOPs, and WMS usage.
• Conduct performance evaluations, coach team members, and develop team leads.
• Coordinate with other departments for scheduled deliveries, pick-ups, and discrepancies.
• Serve as the shift-level point of contact for logistics providers and other departments.
• Execute shift handoff, communicating with the warehouse team and other departments.
• Recommend and assist in implementing operating procedures and promote continuous improvement.
• Follow facility GMPs and Safety policies, and support the company's food safety system (SQF) and quality programs.
