About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all functions within a warehouse and maximizing overall efficiency. This individual must be able to bring people together and capitalize on everyone’s potential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Extensive experience utilizing an operating system (preferably SAP) to maintain inventory movement
  • Basic computer knowledge (Email and Microsoft Office)
  • At least one year experience with forklifts and/or electrically-powered devices
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams within a production or warehouse setting
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization
  • Must possess good customer relations skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and management
  • Must be able to communicate in a way that resolves conflict and not escalates situations

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to travel between local warehouses to complete warehouse functions as needed
  • Being able to operate warehouse equipment (Forklift, Turret, and picker) as needed

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist with the incoming material receipts and put aways
  • Oversee and assist in shipping UPS shipments as well as supplying Traffic/ QA with outgoing product support material and ship loose material
  • Oversee and assist pulling orders for production
  • Manage transfers between warehouses, including physical movement and necessary computer transactions
  • Replenish warehouse and production stock as needed
  • Provide solutions to improve work efficiency
  • Keep the warehouse and work environment clean and organized. This would include satellite locations as well as backlot and the tents
  • Assist in cycle counting and accompanying research
  • Ability to understand and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  • Handle warehouse transactions for damaged or returned items, ensuring accurate documentation
  • Run shortage reports and ensure quick fulfillment of incoming receipts
  • Understand ISO processes and can modify or write procedures as necessary
  • Work under the Materials Manager on continuous improvement projects
  • Mentor and develop staff to enhance team performance and productivity
  • Able to deescalate conflict involving people with differing opinions
  • Have a safety-first mentality in all aspects pertaining to the job
  • Have a good grasp on material flow both physically and in an ERP system
  • Ability to be the bridge between different departments so they all function together as a cohesive unit
  • Track order pulling times to optimize warehouse personnel and determine when overtime is needed
  • Work with warehouse leadership to determine future technological investments (such as AI or AGV) to maximize both safety and efficiency
  • Work with Material Control to maintain an accurate inventory and ensure all necessary transactions are posted in a timely manner
  • Must be data driven with their decision making and problem solving
  • Ability to handle disciplinary issues in a fair but just manner to avoid reoccurring issues
  • Must have strong interview skills to make sure only the best candidates are hired for warehouse positions
  • Ability to make decisive decisions with a strong understanding of how these choices will impact everyone in and out of the department
  • Must have the ability to talk to people in a way that’s brings them together and does not foster discontent
