About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for handling daily operations of the warehouse, including production, inventory control, freight, shipping, and receiving. The role requires maintaining high levels of accuracy in daily operations, leading and developing warehouse team members to provide excellent customer service, and supporting front office and production teams to ensure a functional, comfortable, safe, and efficient work environment. This includes maintaining the building and services in proper working condition to meet team needs. The working hours are 7 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment
  • 2 years of experience managing a team
  • Experience with production planning and leading strong inventory control processes
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Problem solving and analytical talent
  • Excellent oral/written communication
  • Detailed Oriented and very organized
  • Ability to work and stand long hours, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, direct, and mentor one hourly warehouse associate and temps as needed.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure all incoming and outgoing material is processed according to schedule.
  • Manage productivity, cost, or other performance metric expectations for the assigned shift.
  • Drive strategic initiatives focused on continuous improvement, increased productivity, and cost savings, and monitor workplace performance.
  • Prepare schedules for warehouse associates based on customer orders.
  • Assist office and production teams in daily operations, including downloading, printing, and preparing customer shipments to meet delivery windows; provide customer support for expedited requests.
  • Respond to customer quality problem reports by identifying root causes and providing corrective actions.
  • Establish warehouse policies and procedures for efficient operations.
  • Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with the sales team and office support staff.
  • Complete daily inspections and communicate directly to the Office Manager (drafting reports and making written recommendations) to ensure smooth business operations (security, parking, cleaning, technology, etc.).
  • Project future requirements for new business and collaborate with the front office team to determine optimal equipment and infrastructure upgrade paths.
  • Plan for necessary replacements and repairs, scheduling maintenance and management tasks during times least likely to disrupt production and team members (including Forklift, printers, scanners, alarms); lead preventative and scheduled maintenance programs.
  • Ensure the warehouse meets government regulations and environmental, health, and security standards.
  • Operate as a warehouse associate, picking and pulling orders and preparing items for shipment.
