Role Overview The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the overall management, training, and development of the assigned branch warehouse. This includes the branch pipe yard and pipe shop employees and activities. This includes the daily processing, receiving, and shipping of customer orders.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience managing warehouse facilities and employees in same or similar industry.
  • Comfortable managing up to 30 employees.
  • Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
  • Experience with distribution-specific ERP systems, preferably Eclipse.
  • Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
  • Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lift to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Able to frequently work in outside weather conditions.
  • Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and provides daily directions, guidance, training, and communication for all warehouse assigned employees in the branch.
  • Track and maintain status on all CDL and DOT requirements.
  • Manages the warehouse team to ensure daily receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and delivery goals are met.
  • Reviews and audits deliveries to ensure they are correctly pulled, packed, shipped, and that the required paperwork is accurate and complete.
  • Conducts and/or manages monthly inspections on pipe shop tools, forklifts, delivery trucks, and part carts.
  • Conducts employee training on safety, forklift driving, truck loading/unloading, material and pallet packing, warehouse shelving, and stock rotation.
  • Provides feedback to employees, completes, and communicates annual employee performance reviews.
  • Communicates with the sales team regarding shipments, future delivery schedules, order statuses, etc.
  • Sorts tickets and works closely with the Branch Manager on delivery routes.
  • Manages the Drivers, routes and any issues that arise during the delivery process.
  • Conducts all Driver training and safety requirements.
  • Works closely with the Purchasing Manager on material delivery schedules, order statuses, etc.
  • Oversees the opening and closing of the branch each day, including locking gates, setting alarms, and securing company assets.
  • Recruits, hires, and trains warehouse staff as needed.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, twist, stand for prolonged periods of time, climb, push, pull, carry, and reach for items.
  • Performs additional duties as required and assigned.
