About The Position

Rock West Composites, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor. Rock West Composites, Inc. is an engineering and manufacturing company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for commercial and government customers. This position is located in our San Diego, CA location and reports to the Supply Chain Director. Position Summary: The position will be responsible for leading warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, staff supervision, and overall management of the facility to maintain a safe and efficient department.

Requirements

High School diploma / GED is required
3-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
Must possess strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills and work effectively across all areas of the business
Current computer literacy is a must, including full proficiency in the use of the entire Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Experience with AS9100 quality management system
US. Person under 22 CFR 120 (due to ITAR Restrictions)

Nice To Haves

Pursuit of a higher education level preferred.
Composite manufacturing experience is a big plus.

Responsibilities

Overseeing daily warehouse operations.
Ensuring efficient and accurate processes for receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
Providing leadership and guidance to warehouse workers, delegating tasks, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
Managing inventory levels, tracking stock, and ensuring accurate inventory records.
Training new employees on warehouse procedures and best practices.
Evaluating employee performance and providing feedback.
Motivating and encouraging warehouse staff to maintain a high level of productivity and teamwork.
Overseeing the timely and accurate processing of orders, from picking and packing to shipping.
Ensuring the warehouse and its equipment are well-maintained and organized.
Identifying and resolving operational issues and challenges.
Implementing and enforcing safety procedures and protocols to create a safe working environment.
Identifying and implementing strategies to optimize warehouse operations and improve efficiency.
Generating reports on warehouse activities, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
Organized, self-motivated, strong attention to detail, and high level of accuracy.
