About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee warehouse inventory and staff. This role involves assisting the Warehouse Manager with hiring and training, scheduling and overseeing warehouse staff, and conducting performance evaluations. Key duties include receiving and recording new inventory, conducting physical inventories and reconciling differences, replenishing stock, ensuring proper storage of inventory, transferring inventory to trucks for delivery, and coordinating inventory transfers between departments. The position also involves collaborating with other departments to improve warehouse efficiency, monitoring expenditures, enforcing safety policies, resolving equipment issues, and performing other related duties.

  • Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Associate degree in Business or similar discipline required.
  • At least six months of experience in distribution or manufacturing required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Warehouse Manager with hiring and training of new employees.
  • Schedules and oversees warehouse staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspects and stores it according to policy.
  • Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory, and reconciles any differences.
  • Replenishes stock and inventory as needed.
  • Ensures that all stock is stored in correct locations in the warehouse.
  • Transfers inventory to trucks for delivery in a timely manner and according to schedule.
  • Schedules materials being transferred to and from warehouse, coordinates transfer of inventory between departments.
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
  • Monitors expenditures: implements corrective actions if needed.
  • Enforces operating instructions and safety policies.
  • Resolves routine equipment issues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
