About The Position

Mid-Am Building Supply is seeking a motivated and experienced 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead our evening warehouse operations. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supervising warehouse employees, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values safety, and is passionate about developing employees while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience in warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or production environments.
Prior supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Two years of college coursework or vocational training.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Knowledge of inventory control and inventory accuracy practices.
Experience conducting employee training and safety programs.
Familiarity with DOT regulations and driver dispatching operations.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise second-shift warehouse employees to ensure a safe, productive, and efficient operation.
Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including loading, shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling.
Establish daily priorities and communicate expectations to team members.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and facility.
Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
Conduct forklift training, certification, and recertification programs.
Coordinate and lead safety meetings and employee training initiatives.
Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
Investigate inventory variances, operational issues, and safety incidents while implementing corrective actions.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of operational reports and required documentation.
Maintain critical transactions and processes within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Support employee onboarding, cross-training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with management and other departments to improve service, quality, and operational efficiency.
Address employee concerns and performance issues through consistent problem-solving and follow-up.
Ensure inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and effective inventory-control practices.
