About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including task allocation, resource management, employee supervision, and ensuring compliance with safety and productivity standards. This role involves leading a team, monitoring performance, identifying operational issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The supervisor will also manage payroll, prepare reports, and maintain effective communication with team members and senior management.

Requirements

  • Education in Administration, Inventory Management, Logistics, or another operations-related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • English (spoken and written) required.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook and intermediate proficiency in Excel required.
  • Forklift operator certification (training will be provided if not already certified).
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Allocate tasks and assign human and material resources to meet targets.
  • Supervise employees’ work on the floor, monitor attendance and punctuality.
  • Conduct regular floor walks to ensure quality, productivity, compliance, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Ensure employees maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Lead by example by maintaining a clean and organized supervisor’s workstation.
  • Monitor performance indicators and ensure employees meet targets.
  • Identify performance gaps and operational issues.
  • Meet with employees for disciplinary actions and recognize high performers, documenting all actions.
  • Review and adjust targets with the Director, providing justification for changes.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety (H&S) requirements and manage incident documentation and investigations.
  • Anticipate operational needs in collaboration with the Workflow Coordinator.
  • Ensure smooth transitions for shift start/end times, breaks, and lunch periods.
  • Support, motivate, and guide team members.
  • Act as a technical resource for the team.
  • Communicate objectives, priorities, and operational instructions clearly to employees.
  • Prepare daily activity and performance reports.
  • Lead weekly team meetings.
  • Verify availability of equipment and required materials.
  • Propose ideas for continuous improvement of operational processes.
  • Keep senior management informed of ongoing labor relations matters.
  • Review financial / targets results with the Director monthly.
  • Manage payroll for the team (subject to Director review).
  • Maintain and manage the [email protected] inbox.
  • Conduct shift handover meetings with supervisors from the previous/next shift.
