About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse in a food manufacturing environment. This includes managing inventory, shipping/receiving, team performance, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations within the food industry and a strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or related coursework preferred.
3+ years of warehouse experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF).
Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a cold, wet, and fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate warehouse team members to ensure efficient receiving, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods.
Monitor daily workflow to meet production and shipping schedules.
Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and physical inventory processes.
Ensure adherence to food safety standards, including GMPs, allergen control, and sanitation protocols.
Oversee proper handling and storage of perishable and non-perishable food products.
Enforce warehouse safety policies and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely material flow.
Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure high performance and compliance with company standards.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with FDA, USDA, and internal audit requirements.
