About The Position

Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible for staff training in accordance with SOP requirements. The position requires competence in executing cycle count management and investigation to reconcile adjustments, and monitoring facility supplies of consumable materials, reordering as needed. The Warehouse Supervisor should be knowledgeable of all warehouse functions and processes and be an active participant in daily activities. This role provides oversight to warehouse activities in the absence of the Warehouse Manager. The position may have responsibility for direct reports and/or ADP approvals, with direct reports identified by the Warehouse Manager based on the Supervisor's departmental competencies and skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school degree or GED equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in an inventory and/or warehouse environment.
  • Understanding of warehouse material handling and distribution functions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while directing multiple activities.
  • Strong sense of customer focus dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of customer.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.
  • High sense of urgency, driven to complete tasks, and prioritize activities when needed.
  • Self-motivated and has the ability to work independently.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to perform required system functions on Stauffer provided software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a medical certification according to DOT regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or some college credits in a business curriculum.
  • 5 + years’ experience in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide staff training for all essential position duties using the SOP requirements, ensuring staff competency and signed SOP documentation. Conduct additional training where SOPs are not written, with all training audited and approved by the site Warehouse Manager.
  • Manage the facility’s cycle count program, investigate items needing adjustment in a timely manner, and reconcile adjustments. Handle day-to-day adjustments promptly.
  • Provide oversight to daily warehouse activities in the absence of the Warehouse Manager, ensuring staff execute functions in accordance with SOP standards.
  • Direct staff to complete daily receiving and shipping duties and ensure customer orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Execute other essential duties typically performed by the Warehouse Manager.
  • Monitor the facility’s consumable materials (e.g., shipping boxes, janitorial, sanitation, and office supplies) and order to replenish consumables as needed to avoid stock outages.
  • Communicate with staff in a respectful and professional manner, providing a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Supervise full-time staff, including training on SOPs and directing staff to competently perform assigned duties.
