About The Position

Supervise and coordinate the activities of helpers, laborers, or material movers. The supervisor will be responsible for the overall leadership in the areas of operational performance and improvements, P&L management, customer relations and employee development. This role requires a proactive thinker who can effectively maximize the performance of a high-volume operation that runs 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.
Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly.
Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
Inform designated employees or departments of items loaded and problems encountered.
Monitor service levels to ensure that performance metrics meet customer requirements and are communicated appropriately.
Drive the operational performance at the facility level, focusing on productivity and loss prevention.
Monitor replenishments and inventory control to ensure discrepancies are corrected immediately.
Manage daily facility workload planning and volume forecasting (i.e. staffing, equipment, space).
Ensure company policies are communicated, administered and enforced.
Increase efficiency of operation and employee productivity.
Properly allocate and maximize on spacing capacity.
Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconcile with data storage system.
Support a safe, secure and clean work environment.
