The Warehouse Supervisor serves as support to the Materials Manager and the Master Schedulers of the Materials Department. This role involves training shipping and receiving employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, assisting with appraising performances, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems. The supervisor ensures the area is fully staffed to meet material movement needs, provides support for the Material Tech in the event of vacation, absences, or call-in days, and covers docks in between shifts. Additionally, the role supports the Materials department with day-to-day shipping and receiving tasks, performs Ford eDDL/CMMS training to respond to customer notices, and maintains and monitors communication board(s). Support may also be provided to other facilities as a backup for vacations/absences. The position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations, as well as write reports, business correspondence, and other documentation as requested.
