About The Position

The Honickman Companies, a large independent beverage employer, is seeking a passionate, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor for their Salisbury, MD office. This role involves the effective management of loading operations, including order filling and loading of delivery vehicles, and providing direction to a team of 15-20 hourly employees. The supervisor will also oversee product breakage management and ensure adherence to housekeeping standards.

Requirements

Must be proficient on computers.
Experience working in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 2 years Warehouse Supervisory experience; OR 5 years Warehouse Supervisory experience.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Related training or certification.

Responsibilities

Effective communication, both orally and in writing.
Expense control and implementing safety initiatives.
Training others to assist in warehouse functions.
Managing product loading and housekeeping standards.
Recommending discipline to Warehouse Supervisor/Manager/Director regarding employee work rule violations.
Tracking daily picking standards for warehouse associate productivity.
Checking in drivers ending inventory through driver’s hand held.
Checking bulk & conventional picking orders for accuracy.
Pulling bulk orders for warehouse pickers as needed.
Covering delivery supervisors’ responsibilities as needed.
Performing Physical Inventory counts daily/ weekly.
Performing Route Reconciliation daily.
Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
