About The Position

Wurth Baer Supply Company is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to lead our distribution operation at our branch in Pennsauken, NJ. This is a hands-on role requiring active physical execution of daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing outbound orders, and loading/unloading trucks, containers, flatbeds, and railcars. The company is a leading specialty wholesale distributor to the woodworking industry with extensive inventory and 29 distribution locations across several US regions. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Wurth Group.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse supervisory experience.
• Ability to operate a forklift and successfully pass Würth Baer Supply’s forklift certification program.
• Ability to complete and train others on Hazardous Material Certification as required by CFR 49, Sections 100-185.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be able to pick up/drag heavy pieces of plywood (90lbs or more) without damaging them into stacks on pallets, then strap them down with a plastic bander, and stage them for shipment or load them into a truck.
• Proficient in operating a sit-down propane forklift.

• SAP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervising day-to-day operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing outbound orders, loading/Unloading trucks, containers, flatbeds, and railcars.
• Fulfilling/picking large orders of plywood (e.g., 4'x8', 4'x10', 5'x10', 5'x12') and other materials like laminate sheets and glue.
• Operating a sit-down propane forklift.
• Ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and maintaining company delivery trucks.
• Following and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Utilizing SAP for inventory management, tracking, and warehouse operations.
• Conducting weekly benchmarking to ensure operational efficiency.
• Communicating effectively with sales representatives and customer service teams to resolve customer inquiries.
• Assisting with customer will-call order pickups.
• Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse in accordance with safety and operational guidelines.
• Using performance metrics and reports to monitor, measure, and improve warehouse efficiency.
• Planning daily workloads to ensure all customer orders received by 3:00 PM are shipped the same day or per customer delivery schedules.
• Minimizing picking and shipping errors with a goal of a "zero defects" policy.
• Fostering a customer-focused warehouse environment with high service standards.
• Ensuring 98% or greater inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts and tracking.
• Implementing and maintaining warehouse safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and HAZMAT regulations.
• Providing employee training for forklift operation, hazardous materials handling, and warehouse safety protocols.
• Ensuring proper routing of company trucks for efficient and cost-effective delivery schedules.
• Processing outbound orders in the LTL shipping area, including verification of quantities and item condition.
• Processing inbound delivery receipts, verifying products against delivery, and noting discrepancies.
• Working in a team environment on a variety of inbound and outbound warehouse duties.
• Assisting customers with loading their orders onto their vehicles.
• Assisting with general warehouse responsibilities (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping).
• Performing other tasks assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
