About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations within a fast-paced logistics environment. This role is vital in ensuring efficient distribution, shipping, and receiving processes while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy. The Warehouse Supervisor will coordinate, organize, direct, and oversee a team in their daily duties. They will train and hold personnel accountable for performance and attendance, manage inventory systems, and implement operational improvements to optimize productivity and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years+ experience as a supervisor or in a similar role, preferred in a DC environment.
  • Forklift Certified on Reach and Order Selector (willing to train/certify).
  • Excellent communication skills. Needs to be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Computer savvy, Math, Reading, and Writing skills.
  • Able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. and stand more than 80% of the time.
  • Attention to detail and well-organized.
  • Punctual & able to work extended hours or weekends, as needed
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS) platforms.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and implementing operational efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse operations.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a positive work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a Plus.
  • SAP system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to ensure a motivated and efficient team.
  • Oversee daily distribution center operations including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and order fulfillment.
  • Manage inventory control using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other logistics software to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Monitor inventory management practices to prevent discrepancies and ensure proper stock levels through effective inventory management techniques.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and promote a culture of safety within the warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, shipping & receiving, and supply chain management to meet organizational goals.
  • Prepare reports on warehouse performance metrics and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs in the DC and the ability to lead others through changes.
  • Direct multiple people and tasks simultaneously, the ability to prioritize tasks according to importance.
