About The Position

Johnson Brothers of Nebraska, a leading distributor of wine, spirits, and beer, is seeking a Night Warehouse Supervisor. This role is responsible for overseeing the fulfillment process, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and receipt of all items. The ideal candidate will focus on employee retention and development, safety, and customer service. This is a hands-on position requiring 80% presence on the warehouse floor in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility in scheduling. The standard hours are Monday-Thursday, 1 PM - Midnight (business needs), and Friday, 10 AM - 3 PM (business needs).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of previous management experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills, versatility, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Must be flexible to work multiple shifts.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and a post-offer physical (if applicable).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience.
  • Previous WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations of warehouse duties in receiving, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Assist route planning and system entry with the Delivery Manager.
  • Coordinate and enforce programs, operational/personnel policies, and procedures.
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with the data storage system.
  • Manage the physical condition of the warehouse through regular cleaning and assisting with the implementation of new design layouts.
  • Inspect equipment, issue work orders for repair, and requisitions for replacement.
  • Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
  • Manage warehouse staff, including recruitment, selection, orientation, and training.
  • Coach warehouse staff through positive counseling and administer discipline.
  • Plan, monitor, and appraise job results of warehouse staff.
  • Maintain and approve payroll/timecards.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
