About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse at Steuben Foods. This position ensures the safe, efficient, and accurate receipt, storage, inventory control, and shipment of raw materials and finished goods while maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and company standards. The Warehouse Supervisor provides leadership and direction to warehouse employees, promotes teamwork, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to meet operational goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in food and beverage manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, storage, inventory control, and material handling.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse employees to ensure productivity, accountability, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, GMP, HACCP, OSHA, SQF, FDA, and company safety standards.
  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, productivity, and conduct; provide corrective action and performance feedback as needed.
  • Ensure accurate inventory transactions and maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Coordinate movement of raw materials, packaging, or finished goods to support production schedules and customer shipments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely completion of required reports.
  • Work closely with Operation departments to support operational needs and resolve issues.
  • Assist with scheduling employees and managing labor coverage to meet operational demands.
  • Train employees on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, food safety practices, and safety requirements.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained and report any maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with implementing operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment.
  • Participate in investigations related to inventory discrepancies, quality concerns, accidents, or safety incidents.
  • Support company initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and operational goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
