About The Position

As a Warehouse Supervisor, within PPG's Aerospace Business you will lead warehouse and storeroom operations while serving as an important liaison between Production, Supply Chain, and Site Leadership. We are looking for a hands-on leader who drives results through clear expectations, disciplined processes, and application of Lean principles to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will sit onsite at our Grand Prairie, TX site and will report to the Warehouse Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required
  • 3+ years in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations required
  • 2+ years in a leadership/supervisory role required
  • Apply Lean tools in a real-world operational environment
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement plans
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems (QAD)
  • Knowledge of inventory control and materials management systems
  • DOT, IMDG, and IATA certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • Familiarity with Powered Industrial Truck operations (forklift experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Material Handling employees to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets
  • Set clear daily priorities, performance expectations, and standard work
  • Hold team members accountable through tiered accountability, performance feedback, and corrective action when needed
  • Promote a culture of ownership, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure staffing, scheduling, and timekeeping accuracy (Kronos)
  • Direct daily activities across Receiving, Shipping, Warehouse, and Storeroom operations
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through disciplined cycle counting and reconciliation processes
  • Manage raw materials, consumables, and disposal processes compliantly
  • Identify and close performance gaps using data-driven decision-making
  • Be a Lean champion within warehouse operations
  • Apply and sustain Lean tools, including: 5S (workplace organization), Kanban (pull systems), Standard Work, Visual Management, Root Cause Problem Solving (RCA)
  • Support continuous improvement plans (Kaizens) to eliminate waste and improve flow
  • Implement and sustain: Just-In-Time (JIT) material flow, Cycle count and inventory control systems
  • Track and improve important warehouse performance metrics such as: Inventory accuracy, Labor productivity
  • Develop and report warehouse performance metrics to leadership
  • Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP (QAD preferred) to manage operations
  • Ensure accurate execution of transactional processes and data integrity
