What You’ll Do As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading daily warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment, including picking, packing, staging, loading, and inventory control. You will supervise core warehouse associates and oversee contingent labor during peak demand periods to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time execution of all warehouse activities. As the Supervisor, you will be accountable for daily performance in safety, quality, productivity, and delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3–5 years of warehouse supervisory experience (manufacturing preferred)
  • Experience managing variable staffing models strongly preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory control processes required
  • Experience with Sage X3 MRP/ERP strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office

Responsibilities

  • Supervise picking, packing, labeling, staging, and loading activities
  • Coordinate daily workload with Shipping Coordinators and Production
  • Ensure shipments are complete, accurate, and staged on time
  • Monitor dock flow and adjust labor to prevent bottlenecks
  • Ensure safe and efficient loading of LTL and full truckload shipments
  • Lead and direct warehouse associates and temporary/contingent labor
  • Adjust staffing levels based on volume and peak demand
  • Partner with staffing agencies to secure qualified temporary labor
  • Ensure contingent workers are properly trained and integrated
  • Monitor productivity and quality of both permanent and temporary staff
  • Manage attendance, performance, and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate finished goods and packaging inventory
  • Support cycle counts and investigates inventory discrepancies
  • Ensure accurate and timely ERP transactions
  • Escalate systemic inventory issues to Warehouse Manager
  • Enforce safety policies and safe material handling practices
  • Maintain strong housekeeping standards (5S)
  • Conduct safety briefings, especially during peak staffing periods
  • Address unsafe conditions immediately
  • Monitor and report daily KPIs, including: On-time shipment Order accuracy Productivity per labor hour Safety incidents
  • Identify root causes of performance gaps
  • Implement corrective and improvement actions
  • Recommend workflow and layout improvements
  • Support Lean and process improvement initiatives
  • Drive efficiency during both standard and peak operations
