Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires forklift experience on a majority of Wilson's current equipment and must be trainable on equipment not familiar with.
  • Proven experience as a Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control principles.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and operating warehouse machinery.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems, inventory software, and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing products in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure productivity and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and conduct regular inventory audits to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize loss.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that all products meet company standards and customer requirements.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline warehouse operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Prepare reports on warehouse activities, including productivity, inventory levels, and any issues or incidents that may arise.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as logistics, purchasing, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination of operations.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure proper maintenance and functionality of warehouse equipment and machinery.
