About The Position

This position serves as a working Supervisor and is responsible for the directing and facilitating of all shift warehouse and delivery activities on 2nd Shift. Position oversees operating efficiencies and ensures efficient delivery practices and accurate warehouse transactions in regards to receiving, put-away, storage, picking, and shipping activities to satisfy and exceed internal and external customer requirements. Also performs deliveries and basic warehouse tasks including shipping, receiving, staging, and assisting customers as needed.

Requirements

Receives general direction working from established policies and objectives.
Employee plans and carries out assignments and resolves most conflicts that arise.
Completed work is checked only to determine feasibility and compatibility.

Responsibilities

Establishes and prioritizes daily warehouse and delivery activities by providing support and direction to warehouse associates and drivers.
Assists Traffic Manger in planning outbound freight including customer and store deliveries.
Ensures efficient branch deliveries and loading of customer delivery trucks
Ensures all warehouse and delivery standard operating procedures are followed and performed accurately.
Maintains organization and filing of all associated paperwork i.e. delivery receipts, packing slips, invoices, bill of ladings, etc.
Ensures and maintains a safe work environment by enforcing DOT, OSHA, and Company safety policies and procedures.
Ensures high housekeeping standards and warehouse organization are met daily.
Ensures sufficient training to new and current employees.
Communicates challenges and /or issues to the Distribution Center Manager. Offers suggestions for resolution and / or improvement in current processes, methods, or procedures
Performs deliveries and basic warehouse tasks including shipping, receiving, staging, and assisting customers as needed.
