About The Position

This position is responsible for planning warehouse layout, advising employees on storage and handling methods, determining work procedures, preparing work schedules, expediting workflow, assigning duties, and ensuring work quality and conformance to policies. The role also involves maintaining harmony among workers, resolving issues, completing performance appraisals, and enforcing safety regulations. Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Three to four years relevant, job-related experience, education or combination thereof
• Forklift Certified

Responsibilities

• Plans layout of warehouse and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
• Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves issues.
• Completes performance appraisals on direct reports semi-annually and provides on-going feedback on work performance.
• Advises and enforces safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
