About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and staff supervision. The role requires a focus on safety, accuracy, and team development within the distribution environment.

Requirements

3-5 years experience required, distribution background preferred.
2-4 years in leadership role
Must possess strong communication, organization, delegation, and PC skills required.

Nice To Haves

Associates degree or equivalent from two-year College preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure all material is received into the warehouse and shipped to branches and customers in the most efficient manner.
Ensure prompt deliveries and vendor pick-ups.
Ensure all equipment is maintained and serviced.
Interface with Purchasing to ensure inventory is at appropriate levels.
Ensure damaged or off-quality merchandise is reported to Purchasing.
Coordinate cycle counts, identify which products should be inventoried monthly.
Ensure inventory numbers are accurate.
Resolve transfer and receiving discrepancies.
Prepare departmental control overtime and expenses.
Maintain an efficient and effective staff by interviewing and selecting qualified employees, overseeing departmental training, conducting performance reviews, recommending salary increases, transfers, promotions.
Recommend, write, and deliver disciplinary measures in accordance to company guidelines.
Ensure Health and safety compliance in accordance with company policy.
Perform other duties as required.
