About The Position

The Warehouse / Stockroom Receiving Associate is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing materials throughout the facility while ensuring inventory accuracy, product quality, and operational efficiency. This position supports warehouse and manufacturing operations by unloading incoming shipments, verifying materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation, processing inventory transactions, maintaining accurate inventory records, replenishing stock locations, and preparing outbound shipments. The role works closely with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Customer Service teams to ensure the timely flow of materials and accurate inventory management. Responsibilities include identifying and reporting discrepancies, supporting cycle counts and physical inventories, maintaining proper material storage practices, and ensuring inventory integrity within the company's ERP or inventory management system.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, receiving, shipping, inventory control, or material handling environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management, warehouse management, or ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Demonstrated organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling equipment, or the ability to become certified upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, and material movement processes.
  • Forklift certification and experience operating powered industrial trucks.
  • Experience using ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or 5S workplace organization principles.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
  • Record inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Store, label, organize, and replenish inventory within designated stockroom locations.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Safely load, unload, move, and transport materials throughout the facility.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Deliver materials, tools, and supplies to support production and operational requirements.
  • Maintain efficient material flow between receiving, inventory, production, and shipping areas.
  • Pick, verify, package, label, and prepare materials and products for shipment.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments and assist with carrier pickups.
  • Ensure shipping documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in inventory audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
