About The Position
Company General Trading is a grocery wholesale food distributor located in Carlstadt, New Jersey. We are a full service grocery wholesaler and dairy wholesaler, supplier, exporter carrying over 10,000 grocery and 2,000 dairy items. This position involves operating a stand-up rider reach HiLo to move product within the warehouse, selecting grocery and dairy products, and performing pre-shift safety checks. The role requires physical endurance and the ability to work in a multi-temperature environment.
Requirements
- 1 year stand up rider reach truck experience required
- Must be 18 years or older
Nice To Haves
- Stand up rider reach truck certification a plus but not required
- Electric pallet jack knowledge a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Operate stand up rider reach HiLo to move product from dock to rack and from rack to picking location
- Select full case grocery and dairy products from warehouse pick slots using pallet jacks when necessary
- Perform pre-shift safety check on equipment
- Work in multi-temperature environment
- Meet weekly productivity standards and accuracy
- Constant standing, walking, bending and continuously lifting up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to read alpha and numeric codes
