About The Position

The Warehouse Specialist supports daily warehouse operations with a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and timely movement of materials. This role is responsible for receiving, QC coordination, material handling, put-away, picking, staging, 5S, and inventory accuracy. The Warehouse Specialist ensures production, maintenance, engineering, and shipping teams receive the correct materials on time and according to Miura standards. This position requires excellent attendance and attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of warehouse or material-handling experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Experience with inventory systems or ERP platforms.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes (certification preferred or ability to obtain).
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • English and grammar usage skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (heavy equipment, industrial equipment a plus).
  • Basic understanding of QC, cycle counting, or inventory control.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Knowledge of 5S and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound shipments accurately and promptly in alignment with procurement and production needs.
  • Verify counts, damage, and documentation against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Communicate with QC to ensure items requiring inspection are processed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing on discrepancies, shortages, or vendor returns.
  • Perform put-away accurately using Miura item codes and location mapping.
  • Maintain bin accuracy and update system locations as needed.
  • Assist with daily cycle counts, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Support inventory freeze events and month-end close activities.
  • Pick and stage materials for production and Logistics according to work orders and pick tickets.
  • Communicate shortages or missing parts to Planning and Purchasing immediately.
  • Support urgent requests and expedite material movement when required.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues promptly.
  • Move materials between warehouse, shop floor, shipping/receiving, and yard areas as required.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas aligned with Miura’s 5S standards.
  • Participate in continuous-improvement activities to streamline warehouse processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve flow, reduce errors, and support company initiatives.
