About The Position

The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment’s storage plan. The position is designated Quality Control, works the second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is not to exceed June 30, 2027. The role may involve operating hand or power trucks and preparing materials for shipment. The posting excludes workers whose primary duties involve shipping and receiving, order filling, or operating forklifts. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and six to twelve months of job-related experience and/or training. The employee must maintain a valid driver’s license, be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle, work safely, and provide courteous, customer-oriented service. The position may require obtaining and maintaining a security clearance. Work may take place in a warehouse or outdoors in drafty, noisy, and dirty conditions. Duties may involve extended walking or standing, climbing, crouching, crawling, handling dirty parts and lubricants, and lifting, pushing, or pulling at least 50 pounds. Employees must use required personal protective equipment and pass a respirator physical and fit test. Short-notice domestic or international travel to austere environments may be required. Employees are responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, completing applicable training, following Amentum quality requirements, and complying with operational, safety, quality, and environmental procedures and policies.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Six to twelve months of job-related experience and/or training.
Valid driver’s license that must be maintained.
Ability to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
Ability to perform work safely to prevent loss or damage of equipment.
Customer-oriented approach and ability to work courteously and effectively through difficult situations.
May be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to type using a standard keyboard for email and software applications.
Ability to walk and stand on level or inclined surfaces for extended periods; climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands; crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows and knees, and reach above or below the shoulders.
Ability to lift heavy objects that may exceed 50 pounds and lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to pass a respirator physical and fit test.
Ability to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, and forklifts.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
May be required to travel domestically and internationally on short notice, including to austere environments and under harsh living conditions.

Responsibilities

Perform warehousing duties requiring an understanding of the establishment’s storage plan.
Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials; examine materials and report deterioration or damage.
Remove materials from storage and prepare them for shipment.
Verify materials against receiving documents, report discrepancies and obvious damage, route materials to prescribed storage locations, and store, stack, or palletize them according to prescribed methods.
May operate hand or power trucks when performing warehousing duties.
Perform other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Follow applicable safety requirements, complete required training, and fulfill self-aid/buddy-aid responsibilities as appropriate.
Carry out job activities in compliance with Amentum quality requirements, quality-system documents, and customer contracts.
Read, understand, and implement applicable operational, safety, quality, and environmental plans, procedures, and policies.
