About The Position

The Warehouse Specialist performs receiving, inventory control, warehousing, and shipping activities across raw materials and finished goods, ensuring inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely customer fulfillment. In this role, you develop expertise in warehouse operations, inventory management, ERP transactions, and domestic and international logistics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Experience working with computerized MRP/ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and lifts.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

  • Experience with domestic and international shipping requirements, freight carriers, and transportation logistics.
  • Knowledge of warehouse capacity planning, inventory optimization, and lean inventory practices.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality systems, cGMP requirements, and regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience creating, documenting, and improving operational procedures and work instructions.
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP reporting, inventory analysis, and warehouse performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming raw materials in accordance with established procedures, identify discrepancies, and coordinate resolution with Purchasing and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate physical and system control of inventory by properly identifying, storing, and transacting materials within the ERP system.
  • Coordinate and execute domestic and international shipments of finished goods to ensure timely and accurate customer delivery.
  • Partner with freight carriers to determine appropriate shipping methods, pricing, and logistics solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
  • Process inventory transactions and maintain required documentation to support Quality System Regulations (QSR), cGMP requirements, and inventory accuracy.
  • Perform cycle counts, month-end inventory verification activities, and support physical inventory audits as assigned.
  • Monitor warehouse capacity and inventory flow while supporting lean inventory practices and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including 5S, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma initiatives aligned with company objectives.
  • Develop, document, and improve standard operating procedures and warehouse processes to support efficient and compliant operations.
  • Perform all activities in accordance with established quality systems, safety requirements, and cGMP principles.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
