About The Position

Vertical Cold Storage is looking for a Warehouse Specialist to join their team. This role involves performing a wide range of warehouse duties in an accurate and timely manner to provide top-notch service. The position operates in a cold storage environment and requires the use of Powered Industrial Vehicles.

Requirements

Strong math skills to count and multiply accurately.
Use non-motorized pallet jack.

Nice To Haves

Prior warehouse/distribution experience.
Prior use of forklift and other motorized equipment.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Verify items received and being shipped by checking identifying information, inspecting condition, and recording count/measure.
Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock, and recording their location.
Prepare product for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, loading, and securing product.
Document product shipment by recording units shipped.
Drive and use Powered Industrial Vehicles (forklift, power jack, high lift).
Maintain certifications for powered equipment through safe work practices.
Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and requesting repairs.
Use hand-held scanner and vehicle mounted units for inventory control.
Monitor condition of cases and integrity of pallets, reporting substandard items.
Place labels on cases or loads according to customer specifications.
Process inventory by stacking, un-stacking, restacking, wrapping, and unwrapping pallets and cases.
Insert or remove dividers between cases.
Complete general housekeeping duties such as sweeping and emptying garbage.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks.
Communicate positively and effectively in a team environment.
Meet attendance requirements.
Stretch wrap pallets manually or using a powered machine.
Maintain a safe working environment by following safety rules and regulations.
Safely perform job duties by maintaining a safe working environment, following safety rules, being aware of surroundings, and only using trained equipment.
Support warehouse supervision duties to assist in facility operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
