About The Position

The Warehouse Specialists ensure that the daily functions and procedures of the distribution center effectively support shipping and manufacturing operations by ensuring they receive accurate products and raw materials smoothly and efficiently. Their duties revolve around shipping, receiving, and maintaining warehouse inventory. They fulfill bill of material orders, package items for shipment, and arrange delivery pickups for Logistics. This Specialist is also responsible for directing and overseeing the receiving and unloading of incoming material, the staging and loading of outgoing packaged goods, and inventory of those materials.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill bill of material orders, package items for shipment, and arrange delivery pickups for Logistics.
  • Direct and oversee the receiving and unloading of incoming material, the staging and loading of outgoing packaged goods, and inventory of those materials.
  • Organize how and where materials are stored.
  • Monitor inventory levels in the warehouse and restock as needed.
  • Confirm the number of items received against invoices.
  • Organize and manage receiving activities, raw material and finished product storage and shipment of finished goods.
  • Manage raw material quality and tempering activities.
  • Ensure processes are in place to minimize losses.
  • Ensure appropriate raw material and quantities for blends to coincide with blend tickets.
  • Perform monthly inventory counts of warehouse facilities, packaged goods, packaging supplies and dry soluble.
  • Communicate with Facility Manager and Purchasing in support of raw material availability for production and to minimize manufacturing downtime.
  • Receive materials into Acumatica (ERP system).
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of all incoming/outgoing raw materials and other products from the facility.
  • Operate machinery to move around product.
  • Lead and provide direction to the team supporting inventory control to drive inventory accuracy, raw material and finished good traceability and continuous improvement in inventory management.
  • Drive culture of safety within the warehouse and BioGro team.
  • May work in other areas to help with production/facility needs including production order/ticket generation, production order entry, and production scheduling.
  • Work with Facility Manager to keep manufacturing schedule running smoothly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
