About The Position

The Warehouse Specialist - Quality Control Evaluator performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. This role excludes workers whose primary duties involve shipping and receiving, order filling, or operating forklifts. The position works under the supervision of a designated Lead, Supervisor or Manager. The candidate must have or be able to obtain a license to use Material Handling Equipment (MHE) within 30 days of selection and attend Transportation of Hazardous Materials training to become certified to ship hazardous material. The role performs a range of duties within the classified department, ensuring items being received, stowed, or shipped meet the requirements of MIL STD 129N. Daily work is received from a Lead or Supervisor.

Requirements

Must be a United States citizen.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
Must have a minimum of three months in material handling, supply distribution, inspection, quality assurance, or related processes.
Must be able to use the DSS and other automated distributions systems.
Must be able to follow requirements of MIL-STD 129 or DLA Manuals and other directives as required.
Must be licensed and experienced in the use of the MHE within 30 days of selection.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

Candidate will attend Transportation of Hazardous Materials to become certified to ship hazardous material.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
Rearranges and takes inventory of stored materials, examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage.
Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment.
May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
Verifies materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, notes and reports discrepancies and obvious damages.
Routes materials to prescribed storage locations.
Stores, stacks or pallets materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
Maintains QC files and addresses nonconforming findings with management and performs follow-up surveillance after corrective actions have been implemented to assess the effectiveness of the corrective actions.
Uses WMS and other Government Data Systems in the performance of quality control duties.
Independently inspects all phases of a variety of distributions processes for conformity to established quality and other operational standards by performing ongoing work for compliance with contractual provisions.
Operates under established QC surveillance schedule, selects surveillance and summarizes surveillance results on quality control surveillance reports and annotates whether services are conforming or nonconforming.
Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
