About The Position

Alpine Laser, a division of Machine Solutions, specializes in precision laser processing workstations (such as the Medicut PRO Series) for medical device manufacturing. This includes laser tube cutting, micromachining, ablation, drilling, welding, and related processes for components like stents, hypotubes, catheters, and other interventional devices. Requirements

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Receive daily incoming UPS, Fed Ex, and Common Carrier Shipments using required tools such as box knife, hand pallet jack, material carts, and bins.
  • Review in-coming freight for any exterior damage or other issues.
  • Check individual part numbers against vendor packing slips.
  • Compare checked vendor packing slip against Company Purchase Order.
  • Resolve any discrepancies with Vendor and solicit help from Purchasing and/or accounting department as needed.
  • Work with engineering to update individual job’s Bill of Materials (“BOM”).
  • Update MRP system for receipt and issuing materials/goods.
  • Coordinate plating, paint, etc. (as needed) with support and/or direction from Purchasing/Assembly.
  • Work with Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations/Assembly team to be aware of all active jobs as well as jobs scheduled for upcoming start to be able to prioritize and meet deadlines for components, materials, and kits needed on the assembly floor.
  • Stay proactive with expected deliveries, working with purchasing and accounting to confirm deliveries, open/pending purchases orders, and following up with phone/email/meetings as needed.
  • Remove and dispose of packing material, skids, and cardboard, etc.
  • Prepare, Kit, and Stage job materials and components per specific job’s assemblies, sub-assemblies, and/or designated assembly areas.
  • Organize staging area, wheeled racks, racking, bins, and required documentation for each job and the job’s assemblies, including keeping components organized by sub-assembly.
  • Set up Job Cart with required identification, labeling, and documentation.
  • Organize and coordinate packing/shipping of outgoing machines, RMAs, and other outbound shipping requirements.
  • Perform housekeeping and 5S activities adhering to all OSHA and Alpine.
  • Dispose of all scrap, trash, and recycling materials.
  • Keep areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Become familiar with customers, names, active jobs, etc.
  • Purchasing Support as needed.
  • Any other admin support as needed.
  • Other Ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
  • Cross training on other tasks and roles within the Company.
