About The Position

The Warehouse Site Manager for Julius Silvert (Capitol Heights Location) is responsible for managing and overseeing all the functions of the warehouse and ensuring smooth operations of all activities to include but not limited to efficient unloading and reloading of the transfer trucks into our local trucks. Also, fully responsible for handling and managing warehouse workers and adhering to necessary safety and legal procedures for working. Key Responsibilities: Supervising the functions and responsibilities of all employees assigned to the warehouse. Delegating and assigning tasks and deadlines. Evaluating the performance of all assigned warehouse staff. Adhering to the compliance of all legal and safety procedures per OSHA requirements and company policy. Managing all product returns accordingly to include damages and return to stock. Supervising proper shift allocations and ensuring the efficiency of all warehouse staff. Organizing and conducting necessary training activities for the staff and workers. Responsible for compliance with OSHA’s warehouse machine operation. Conduct evaluations and training on the use of warehouse machines for new and existing warehouse staff. Able to operate a forklift, reach truck, and an electric pallet jack. Ensuring the proper functioning of all warehouse tools and equipment. Effectively communicates all shift issues to the appropriate parties. Execute coaching, counseling, disciplinary acts, and corrective action for warehouse staff, where applicable. Track shift attendance and tardiness. Responsible to report accidents and injuries, per company policy, to the HR and Safety manager. Maintains a clean and safe working environment. Computer Literate Assists the transportation team in resolving loading issues and concerns. Suggest efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assistance with the implementation of all changes to the warehouse operation. Identifies problems and proposes solutions to other members of management and promotes cooperation with other departments and Corporate Headquarters. Other duties and support assigned as required.
