About The Position

This is a climate-controlled warehouse position for the 2nd shift, operating from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves joining the Staples World Class Supply Chain Team to deliver essential products to customers. Associates may work in various areas including Warehouse Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator, Warehouse Porter, Warehouse Replenishment, Warehouse Receiving/Putaway/Returns, Warehouse Returns, and Shipping. Requirements

• Ability to be Material Handling Equipment Operator certified and safely operate necessary material handling equipment.
• Ability and willingness to keep work area clean.
• An inclusive approach with your colleagues and customers to forge strong relationships and foster collaboration to resolve issues.
• Ability to adopt safety procedures quickly and ensure safe work practices.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
• Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
• Ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need (for Full-Time associates).
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
• Ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick product up to 100 lbs and move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures.
• Performing general cleaning and basic maintenance duties both inside and outside of the facility while adhering to safety procedures.
• Confirming accuracy of product and working with colleagues to address discrepancies and damages.
• Communicating effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts to clarify and resolve issues.
• Manually unloading trucks and palletizing products.
• Matching item quantities and descriptions to packing slips on returned items, checking in returned product and tagging it appropriately.
• Organizing, stacking, and shrink-wrapping customer orders on pallets.
• Loading trucks manually; lifting, lowering, and carrying product in a fast-paced environment and stacking empty pallets while maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
