About The Position

S&S Activewear is seeking a Shipping Department Supervisor to provide support to the Shipping Department Manager and Operations Manager. This role involves direct interaction with all team members involved in shipping orders, offering assistance and guidance on shipping-related issues. The supervisor will also manage end-of-day cleaning duties and is responsible for coaching employees by working with them to establish suitable goals, action plans, and timelines, providing ongoing guidance and support. The Shipping Supervisor ensures employees follow organizational policies and procedures, adhering to the guidelines in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Supervisor experience of 2 years in a team-oriented workplace, preferred.
• Good interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.
• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate and explain processes effectively.
• Ability to coach and develop team members to achieve company goals.
• Excellent organizational management skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when needed.
• Must be able to wear proper safety equipment if required (examples include safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest).

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily attendance and performance employees’ report.
• Conduct team kick off meetings.
• Monitor orders screen daily.
• Monitoring employees breaks.
• Responsible for accident investigation reports.
• Trouble shoot and resolve issues related to the shipping process.
• Ability to think on feet and make operational decisions in order to achieve shipping cut-offs.
• Perform annual performance evaluations.
• Provide leadership to all department employees.
• Conduct employee kick off meetings.
• Verify and enforce compliance of the SOP’s.
• Provide involvement in the planning and execution of special projects related to the Shipping process.
• Prepare and host kick off meetings.
• Monitor work flow and adjust practices as required to ensure quality and timely shipment of orders.
• Act professionally and remain focused while working.
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment.
• Attend meetings as assigned.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
