About The Position

The Warehouse Shipping Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of outgoing shipments within a warehouse environment. This position is responsible for preparing, packaging, and labeling products for shipment, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled correctly and dispatched on time. The role requires close collaboration with inventory control and logistics teams to maintain seamless operations and uphold high standards of quality and safety. The Warehouse Shipping Associate contributes to the overall customer satisfaction by ensuring that shipments are handled with care and delivered without delay. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Basic math and reading skills to accurately process shipping documents and labels.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Basic math, reading, and physical stamina are essential for accurately processing shipments and handling materials safely throughout the workday.
• Organizational skills daily to ensure orders are packed correctly and shipments are prepared efficiently, minimizing errors and delays.
• Attention to detail is critical in verifying shipment contents and labeling to prevent costly mistakes.
• Strong communication skills support coordination with team members and logistics partners, ensuring smooth shipping operations.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a warehouse or shipping environment is preferred but not required.
• Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse machinery.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Forklift operation and familiarity with warehouse management systems enhance productivity by enabling the associate to move goods quickly and track inventory effectively.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and customer specifications.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to verify contents and ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
• Label packages with appropriate shipping information and documentation, including bills of lading and shipping manifests.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with safety and operational guidelines.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or delays to supervisors promptly to facilitate timely resolution.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed to support warehouse operations.
