About The Position

Furst-McNess Company is looking to add a full-time Warehouse Lead at our Lodi, WI location. This role supports daily warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory flow. The Warehouse Lead leads by example, ensuring safe and efficient forklift operation while maintaining the accurate and timely movement of materials and finished goods. The Warehouse Lead works closely with warehouse leadership to coordinate schedules, support team performance, and uphold safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all warehouse activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Demonstrated teamwork, reliability, and the ability to lead by example
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic math calculations
  • Basic computer/data entry skills; experience with SAP or similar systems preferred
  • Familiarity with inventory systems
  • Willingness to work in an indoor warehouse environment with temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather conditions
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and maintaining a clean work environment
  • Ability to work at heights, climb stairs or ladders, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., and safely maneuver palletized loads using warehouse equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous lead experience preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification with company support

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure efficient workflow and on‑time deliveries
  • Operate forklift safely to move, load, unload, and stage materials and finished goods
  • Support team members by providing guidance, answering questions, and assisting with problem‑solving during the shift
  • Train and onboard new warehouse employees, reinforcing safety, quality, and operational expectations
  • Monitor warehouse workflow and identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce downtime, and increase productivity
  • Assist with inventory accuracy through cycle counts, period‑end counts, and verification of warehouse transactions
  • Serve as a backup to warehouse leadership to maintain continuity of operations when needed
  • Communicate daily priorities, schedule changes, and operational updates to the warehouse team
  • Assist with trailer movement, staging, and basic equipment or facility checks as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, equipment lockout/tagout, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements
  • Support production tasks as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
