We are currently hiring a Warehouse Shipper/Receiver for our Manchester, NH facility.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent GED certification with 18 months related work experience, preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience in a Manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Basic Computer skills are required.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills, preferred.
  • Must be self-directed with good communication and interpersonal skills using tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to effective present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading deliveries as needed.
  • Accepting deliveries, and logging them into inventory.
  • Checking for damaged packaging and verifying the accuracy of products.
  • Reporting errors and/or damages to the relevant department.
  • Organizing and retrieving stock (raw material, finished product and consumables), and storing it in an accessible manner.
  • Pulling boxes as needed by the shipping clerk.
  • Preparing outgoing pallets for delivery.
  • Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy, and ensuring the safety of the work environment.
  • Maintain minimum stock levels of raw material and consumables.
  • Operating forklift and pallet jacks to move goods, and operating other warehouse equipment.
  • Computer skills to include the use of E-mail, Excel, Word, Access and other web-based applications
  • Daily: Loading & unloading raw materials into dryers each afternoon.
  • Various other projects as needed
