RJW Logistics Group is seeking a Warehouse Shift Supervisor for their D Shift. This role is responsible for supervising warehouse operations, managing staff, overseeing computer entry and paperwork flow, and ensuring smooth transitions between shifts. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years previous warehouse supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Dispatch experience
  • Dock supervision experience
  • Experience in Warehouse Management and LTL dispatch
  • Knowledge of DOT Regulations and Requirements
  • Minimum of H.S. diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proficient computer skills including data entry.
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including data entry.
  • Good Judgment.
  • Versatile and detail-oriented, demonstrating effectual problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Smart Turn or TMW software a plus
  • Some college preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assigning work assignments for all 2nd shift warehouse staffing, considering customer specifications and driver departure times.
  • Overseeing the loading of inbound/outbound freight according to customer specifications.
  • Supervising Local, Regional, and OTR drivers, communicating updates and work-flow changes.
  • Reviewing deliveries for poor packing and general conditions of materials, alerting relevant personnel of any problems.
  • Overseeing and assigning the processing of shipment paperwork, including scanning BOLs.
  • Ensuring all shipments are recorded, verified, and accurate against paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries.
  • Monitoring the quality and accuracy of all shipments according to customer specifications.
  • Ensuring department staff meets customer requirements and that any changes are updated and staff are trained.
  • Ensuring the updating of the Tee Card board and TMW system.
  • Communicating with customers and responding to inquiries, implementing required actions.
  • Communicating via email prior to the end of each shift to ensure a smooth transition of daily work-flow, issues, customer concerns, or maintenance issues.
  • Ensuring the safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors, in accordance with OSHA and RJW policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing the completion of all computer data entry, checking for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintaining and approving all shift employee timesheets for weekly payroll, including temp hours, and monitoring overtime hours.
  • Completing building checks daily, notifying the Warehouse Director of equipment or building problems or preventive maintenance needed, and assisting with maintaining equipment.
  • Ensuring warehouse employees adhere to all AIB processes, procedures, and guidelines, and have received AIB training for handling food products.
  • Assuring that all checklists for building, equipment, and safety are completed as designated by the SOP or Policy, and issuing corrective actions or work orders.
  • Ensuring proper procedures are followed for accident reporting, handling the care of injured employees, and notifying HR and management.
  • Performing assigned tasks or other duties as instructed by Warehouse Manager or COO.
