About The Position

We are hiring immediately for a seasonal WAREHOUSE SHIFT SUPERVISOR position at the University of Houston. This role involves directing the activities of associates during a specific shift, ensuring assigned job expectations are completed while maintaining policy and procedure. The position is seasonal and tied to the University of Houston Athletics gameday schedule.

Requirements

• Ability to delegate and follow up with a small team.
• Active truck/cart driving clearance.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Inventory management experience.
• Prior experience with ordering, data entry, and reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift.
• Oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Involved in gameday setup & execution for all University of Houston events.
