About The Position

DSG is seeking a Warehouse Senior Associate in our Fargo, ND location. This is a full-time, hourly position typically performed between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential variations based on business needs. The role is responsible for all aspects of warehouse operations, including order pulling, shipping & receiving, product put-away, preparing product for shipment, and maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. Warehouse Senior Associates possess demonstrated experience in warehouse operations and may be responsible for specialized tasks such as wire cutting, delivery driving, inventory control, or warranty administration. Additionally, this role will serve as a backup delivery driver when required. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License, current DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one, and an acceptable driving record.
  • Advanced product and warehouse knowledge acquired in five or more years of applicable experience.
  • Safety training on material handling and forklift driving.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis, and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pull material from location to fill each order.
  • Pack, label, and place filled orders in the proper location for delivery.
  • Regular operation of warehouse equipment (forklift, picker, turret, etc.).
  • Ensure a clean, safe working environment by sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and dusting shelves, and sorting and dumping trash.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Use computer and/or RF gun to check on status, availability, and location of product.
  • Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies.
  • Notify Branch Manager about shortages or overages in inventory.
  • Work with fellow warehouse associates to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
  • Load delivery trucks as needed.
  • Handle calls for the warehouse when needed.
  • Assist in Receiving as workload permits.
  • Perform skilled tasks such as wire measuring/cutting, pipe machine operation, delivery driving responsibilities (inspecting trucks, reporting vehicle problems), inventory control (cycle counting, processing returns), and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
