About The Position

This role involves accurately, consistently, and safely following directions for picking from a pick ticket, operating equipment, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a cold environment and meet physical requirements.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Can read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language sufficiently to perform various tasks of the job, including but not limited to; read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, communicating with co-workers and the general public, understanding oral and written instructions, accurately completing various shipping papers, reports, and records required of the position.
Ability to operate various types of configuration of equipment assigned, including various types of forklifts and hand held scanners with training.
Possess good judgement necessary to perform the functions of the job including; operating a forklift in a safe and lawful manner; handling customers’ products safely and efficiently, and communicating tactfully and diplomatically.
Ability to work in a cold environment and withstand cold temperatures
Be able to operate a forklift, electric jack, stand up Forklift
Ability to meet physical requirements including: standing, sitting and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting, pushing, and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting of up to 20 to 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Forklift and OSHA certified preferred
Familiar with CK31 & CK71 scanner is a plus

Responsibilities

Accurately, consistently and safely follow directions involving picking from a pick ticket
Operate forklift, electric pallet jack, and any additional equipment as needed
Scan and send all received P.O. documentation over to the accounting team
Receive trucks in a timely and accurate manner to load and unload tractor trailer trucker per P.O. requirements
Accurately identifying and picking cases of product from inventory locations
Accurately pick, palletize, wrap and scan orders using FIFO (First in First out)
Scan and place labels on products as necessary
Hand stacking product in a specific sequence and location on a pallet for shipment
Maintain integrity of products through proper handling and storage
Maintain accurate inventories
Returning undelivered product to their proper inventory locations
Perform the cleaning and maintenance duties as may be directed by the warehouse supervisor
Observes safe product handling techniques.
Cooperates with supervisors and peers alike
Timely and accurate slotting of products in rack system
Various other duties, as assigned
