About The Position
Publix Super Markets is a leading privately-owned supermarket chain in the US, known for its financial stability, community involvement, volunteerism, environmental sustainability, and commitment to diversity. As a Warehouse Selector, you will determine your own earnings based on the safe and efficient completion of orders. The average selector performs above 100% efficiency, allowing for above-standard pay. This role also serves as a workout, involving constant walking, lifting, bending, and stretching. Selectors pull products for Publix stores, place them on pallets, wrap orders, and prepare them for delivery using state-of-the-art technology to identify products and their locations. Warehouse selectors are crucial team members in stocking over 1,400 store locations. Responsibilities listed are not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- Work a rotating schedule which includes some weekends and holidays
- Work fluctuating shifts, when needed
- Select, lift, carry, and stack product weighing 67 pounds for high velocity and low velocity
- Stand, bend, stoop, twist, and do repetitive work for long periods of time
- Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before their start date in the position)
- Pass a Physical Agility Test (before the start date in the position), as applicable

Responsibilities
- Pull products ordered by Publix stores
- Place products onto pallets
- Wrap finished orders
- Prepare orders for truck delivery
- Use technology to identify ordered products and their locations
- Operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside of the operator compartment
- Perform job duties efficiently, accurately, and safely
- Read, write, and identify and verify numbers
- Interpret, understand, and follow instructions
