About The Position

Join Driscoll Foods as a Night Warehouse Selector for the opportunity to build a career, make great money, and become involved with a growing company! The selecting position is the perfect way to get your foot in the door and build a long-term career path as we continue to expand beyond the tri-state area. Prior selecting/warehouse experience preferred. However, for the right candidate, we will offer additional training opportunities. This is a full-time position. The work week is Sunday night-Thursday night. This overnight position starts at 6 pm and ends when the work is complete. We select using the batch method, voice selection software, and labels. Our selectors are measured on productivity and accuracy. All orders are selected using electric double pallet jacks. You must pass an equipment test and become certified in order to work as an overnight selector.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of recent experience in a highly physical, labor-intensive warehouse selection position.
  • Must be able to read alpha and numeric codes from pick sheets and slots.
  • Must be team oriented and able to get along with others.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior selecting/warehouse experience preferred.
  • High School Education or GED preferred.
  • Minimum six months experience with warehouse material handling equipment (electric pallet jack or high low) preferred.
  • Extensive experience operating Standup Forklifts is required.
  • Voice selection software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all pre-shift duties including warm-up and safety checks on all equipment.
  • Work in multi-temperature areas as assigned.
  • Meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy while working in a safe manner.
  • Performs various post-shift duties that could include: Clearing aisles of all debris, returning pallet jack to charging area, and hook up jack for battery charging.
  • Stacks empty pallets from slots in the aisle.
  • Clean up any spills and place damaged products in the recoup area.
  • Completes any related paperwork.
  • Must be physically able to work in the freezer and in the cooler.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift more than 50 pounds throughout a shift.
  • Attend all required company meetings and adhere to all safety practices and company policies.
  • Must satisfactorily complete all company-mandated training and assessments.
