About The Position

Merchants Distributors, LLC (MDI) has immediate openings for Warehouse Selectors at our Distributor Center in Hickory, NC. This role involves operating a pallet jack, labeling, and palletizing products to fill customer orders efficiently and safely. The position requires working in areas with varying temperatures and humidity, including Dairy/Produce, Meat/Frozen, and Grocery sections. Requirements

• Minimum 6 months experience in a similar environment
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screening, Background Check, Physical Abilities Test)
• Stable work history

Responsibilities

• Operate a pallet jack
• Label and palletize products to fill customer orders
• Work efficiently and in a safe manner
• Work in areas with temperature and humidity changes
• Reach, lift, and stack cases ranging in weight from 1-100 lbs. from floor to overhead
• Appropriately label selected product and apply header label to finish pallet for shipment
• Maintain quality standards of accuracy, stacking, and pallet conditions
• Stack merchandise on pallet to prevent damage during selecting, loading, or delivering product
• Operate electric pallet jack in a safe manner
• Walk and guide jack from slot to slots during selections process
• Maintain production standards
• Lift 20,000 - 40,000 lbs per shift on average
